LOCATING A RECOVERY WELL DOWNGRADIENT OF STRUCTURE

	In the figure on this page, it is evident that there is no advantage to locating a recovery downgradient of this home, if the objective is to remedy off gassing of volatiles from dissolved seeps of contaminated ground-water into the basement of this home. The downgradient location of the recovery well will continue to pull contaminated ground water beneath this house. Installing a recovery well in this location may be warranted, but again not to remediate vapors off gassing from ground-water seeps into the basement of this home.
